Students must provide the original document(s). copies 和 e-mail pictures will not be acceptable. An example of acceptable documentation would be a valid driver’s license (or state ID) 社会保障卡.

学生就业

There are two student employee programs. The only difference between the two is funding resources.

学生必须是美国公民.S. citizen enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. Student employees are currently paid $8.00 per hour, must submit a timesheet each period, 和 are paid twice each month.

Students eligible for student employment are not guaranteed a job. The student is referred to a specific office or department according to job availability 和 departmental needs. The student will interview with individual supervisors. If the student 和 the supervisor are in mutual agreement, the student is hired. The supervisor will submit an Employee Authorization Form to the Office of 金融援助. The final decision concerning the selection 和 hiring of student employees is made by the employing department/office after interviewing the students.

New employees must provide proof of U.S citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S. A list of the acceptable documents can be found on the last p年龄 of the Employment Verification Form (I-9). It is the student’s responsibility to submit the completed employment documents to the Office of Human Resources (HR) 之前 开始一个工作计划.

The amount of the students’ employment award will dictate the maximum number of hours per week the student is eligible to work. Students usually work 10 to 15 hours per week. Students may not work more than 19 hours per week while enrolled in classes. This policy is intended to protect the academic pursuits of the student. The following chart indicates the approximate number of work hours needed in order to earn the amount awarded. The amounts are based on minimum w年龄 ($8.00 per hour) for approximately 16 weeks.

一学期奖励每周工作时间
$1,28010
$1,53612
$1,92015

The budget of the specific department hiring the student may limit the student to a lower number of hours per week than he/she is eligible to work or would like to work. The student may not earn more than the amount awarded 和 must adjust his/her work schedule accordingly. Students may not work in two different jobs at the same time. Need-based employment on campus must be coordinated with other financial aid programs. Applicants are issued an award allotment 和 those earnings cannot exceed that award allotment. Student employment opportunities through the Federal work program are available both on 和 off campus. Students may not work through the Federal work program in any area of the Baptist Student Ministries or the School of Christian Studies. Student must be eligible for need based employment in order to work with off-campus organizations that focus on “community service” 和 HPU has an agreement. Current off-campus locations include the Latch Key Program, 男孩女孩俱乐部, 和 the Brownwood Public 图书馆. Students in off-campus locations are paid in the same manner as the students employed on campus.

机构就业

The 机构就业 Program is an institutionally-funded work program. Students submit a timesheet showing hours worked 和 are paid minimum w年龄. Students will receive a paycheck for hours worked. This is not a need-based form of employment. Earnings from this program must be included when completing the FAFSA. Employment opportunities are available on campus only.
